The short version: what you share with us stays with us. We use it to pray for you and — only with your written permission — to share your story under the name you chose. We never sell it, trade it, or put you on a mailing list. Here’s the whole picture, in plain words.

Who we are
Friend of the Broken (friendofthebroken.com and friendofthebroken.org) is run by Friend Ministries, a family in Kentucky, USA. This page explains what information the site collects and what we do with it.
What we collect
Prayer requests. When you use the Need Prayer form, we receive whatever you choose to write, plus your first name and email if you include them — both are optional. Anonymous requests are completely fine.
Story submissions. When you share your story, we receive your name, email, your story, what it speaks to, and how you asked to be credited.
That’s it. The site has no user accounts, no payments, and no newsletter. We don’t buy information about you or collect anything behind the scenes beyond what’s described under “Cookies” below.
What we do with it
Prayer requests go to our family, and we pray for you by name. They are stored privately on this site so we can keep track of who we’ve prayed for. They are never published, never shared, and never used to contact you.
Stories are read by our family. A story appears on the site only because you checked the box giving us permission when you sent it — and then only under the name you chose (first name, initials, or anonymous), edited for length and to protect the privacy of others in it. If you never gave that permission, it is never published.
What we will never do
We will never sell, rent, or trade your information. We will not add you to a mailing list. We won’t contact you — our promise is prayer, not follow-up calls or emails. And nothing you send us is ever shared with advertisers, because we don’t have any.
Cookies and technical stuff
This site runs on WordPress and uses only the small, essential cookies WordPress needs to work. We do not run advertising trackers or social-media trackers. Like nearly every website, our hosting company (Rocket.net) and content network (Cloudflare) keep standard technical logs — things like IP addresses — to keep the site fast and secure. Links to YouTube (for sermons and teaching) take you to YouTube, which has its own privacy policy once you’re there.
Children
This site is written to be safe for all ages, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If your child sent us something, use the prayer form to tell us and we’ll delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete anything you’ve sent — a prayer request, a story, or a story we’ve already published. Just send the request through the Need Prayer form (it reaches the same family inbox), tell us what to remove, and we will.
Changes
If we ever change how this site handles your information — for example, if we add a newsletter someday — we’ll update this page and the date at the top before we do.
One more thing, because it matters: the most sensitive thing on this site is what you choose to tell us. We treat every request and every story the way we’d want our own handled — carefully, privately, and with prayer.
