See what the Bible says →Stories He told
The stories Jesus told are about people like us.
He told stories about people at their lowest so we would know He sees us. Start with these — one of them might be about you.
Stories from today
Jesus is still meeting people. Maybe you’re next.
The stories above are two thousand years old. The next ones won’t be. Real people, real broken places, in their own words — shared with permission, under the name they chose.

Need hope you can borrow? Read the stories. And if Jesus met you in a broken place, this is where yours will live: share it — you choose the name it carries.
For the dark hours
It’s 2 AM and you can’t sleep. Read this.
“Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5) — David sang that after a night he thought would never end. Whatever this hour looks like, you are not unseen: God “is not far from any one of us” (Acts 17:27). He is “the God who sees me” (Genesis 16:13) — words first spoken by a runaway servant at her lowest. And Jesus holds the door open Himself: “whoever comes to me I will never drive away” (John 6:37).
2 AM
or any hour
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
— Jesus (Matthew 11:28)
He calls you friend
You may feel like a sinner, or broken. Jesus still loves you, and He calls you His friend.
Jesus was called a friend of sinners — and He never denied it (Matthew 11:19). If you want to know what that could mean for you, we’d love to show you. No pressure.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18 — the verse this ministry is built on. If that’s you right now, you’re exactly who this page exists for.

Our family
The porch light is always on.
We’re a family in Kentucky, and we’ve left the porch light on — this is a place where people tell the truth about the worst seasons of life — addiction, divorce, grief, doubt — and about the Friend who meets us there. Pull up a chair. You’re welcome here, just as you are, and there’s hope here for you.
“I no longer call you servants… Instead, I have called you friends.” — Jesus (John 15:15)
