The short version: this site is a family sharing the Bible, freely. Read it, take hope from it, share your story if you want to — and understand that we’re a family with the porch light on — not a professional counseling, medical or legal service.

Who this agreement is with
This site is run by Friend Ministries, a family in Kentucky, USA. By using friendofthebroken.com or friendofthebroken.org, you agree to these terms.
What this site is — and isn’t
Everything here is spiritual encouragement grounded in Scripture, offered by a family — not by pastors, counselors, doctors, lawyers, or therapists. Nothing on this site is professional advice of any kind, and reading it or writing to us does not create a counseling relationship. For decisions about your health, safety, or legal situation, please talk to a qualified professional.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911 first. Then knock on our door too — we’ll be praying.
Prayer
When you send a prayer request, our family prays for you by name. That is the whole promise. We can’t promise a particular outcome — Scripture never lets us promise that — and we don’t provide crisis response, counseling, or follow-up contact.
Your story
When you submit a story with the permission box checked, you’re giving Friend Ministries a permanent, free license to publish it on this site, edited for length and for the privacy of everyone in it, under the name you chose. You keep ownership of your story, and you can ask us to take it down at any time through the prayer form. Only send a story that’s yours to tell.
Our content
The writing, design, and logo on this site belong to Friend Ministries. Scripture quotations are from the Holy Bible, New International Version®, NIV®, copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984, 2011 by Biblica, Inc.™, used by permission. You’re welcome to share links to any page, and to quote from this site for personal, non-commercial encouragement with a link back. Please don’t republish whole pages or use our name or logo to suggest we endorse something.
Other websites
We link to ministries and churches we trust, like Living on the Edge and Lost River Church of Christ. Those sites have their own terms and policies, and we aren’t responsible for their content.
The legal limits
This site is provided “as is,” free of charge, in the hope that it helps. To the fullest extent the law allows, Friend Ministries and our family aren’t liable for damages arising from your use of this site or reliance on anything in it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA.
Changes
If these terms change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Also read our Privacy page — it explains what happens to anything you send us.
